RetroArms CNC receivers are manufactured from one block of aircraft aluminum (Dural) EN AW 7075 T651 on our multi-axis milling machines. The strength of aircraft aluminum EN AW 7075 T651 is 550MPa, standard construction steel has only 390MPa. Our receivers are not from cheap zinc-aluminum casted alloys, they are completely milled from one solid block of aircraft aluminum (Dural) EN AW 7075 T651.
Manufacturing one of these receivers is technologically hard, it also requires a lot of material and a lot of time on milling machines, that is the main reason why the price is higher.
RetroArms AR15 receiver is not a copy or clone from another airsoft manufacturers, but constructed by our own designs for best strength, resilience and reliability in rude/military like conditions. Our receivers are designed to have enough material in every part and removing all unnecessary air pockets. Because of used material, the receiver is lightweight same as zinc-aluminum alloy receivers. We pay a huge attention to the all parts where is receiver connected to each other, we want that whole receiver is without any will to move and completely sealed. Because of massive construction and using our RetroArms wedge pins, our solid receivers have no competition on the market.
All of our RetroArms CNC receivers are anodized, so there is no problem with using paints like Krylon, etc.
